I ran into a situation in the slums where Terl, a fighter that notifies Anomen about his sister's death, keeps following the party around and multiplies. They keep multiplying until there are about 40 of them. They do this outside, and they do this inside the tavern.
When you are engaged in a fight, they all jump in, but because they have no magical weapons, they are of limited usefulness. Eventually there are so many of them that your party can't move. If you kill them off, you get 320xp each, plus alot of bows, swords, splint mail, and arrows. This gets old really fast. It also doesn't help much as they keep coming back, and you end up turning innocent bystanders red. I have read of other similar occurences with Terl and others, except in the government section. A solution I found was that after Anomen joins your party and gets the bad news from Terl, drop him from the party and go pick him up again at the tavern. |
