People who buy illigal drugs tick me off as they support cop killers, and murderers.

Are you aiding police killers? Yes, if you purchase illegal drugs

MAYERTHORPE, Alta. (CP) — But Kim Connell, a 29-year veteran who spent his last 10 years in the Mayerthorpe detachment, also said he’s directing his anger and frustration at the justice system that gave James Roszko so much freedom to be the menace he was. Source

East Coast Mounties, police, military remember slain RCMP officers

It's a sad stroy indeed, but some of the reactions make me angry.

What ticks me off are the moralists, politicians, and greedy corporations that made and keep drugs illegal.

Prohibition has and will never work. The one true and direct causation of violent crime related to drug trafficking is the drug laws, not the people who want or need to get high.

We'll save alot of lives, police and civilain, if we take black market profit entirely out of the equation and diverts the billions and billions of dollars used to enforce drug laws and incarcerate "offenders" into treatment and education. Drug dealers wont have any business to kill for anymore.

But all of this has nothing to do with this tragic story.

Aboutthe perp in the news story:
Quote:
The officers had been staking out his property while investigating stolen car parts and a small marijuana grow operation.
It seems that larceny was involved as well as small time pot growing. In fact it seems to me that a sociopath cop-hating criminal killed those mounties- not non-violent drug users.

It's sad for sure. But the blame in this case cannot be laid upon the failed drug war or casual drug users. Error may be placed if the Officers were ill-equiped or poorly trained for the task. Mistakes, even tragic ones happen and hopefully can be learned from.

The real and only guilty party is the law-dodging crook who fired the gun.

Yeah Pritchke it is crazy. I could not believe it. My brother in-law works for the fire department in Red Deer and his budy knows the dispatcher for the area that the RCMP was killed. He says there is more to the story then what the press is saying. I tried your link and could not get it to work.
