k, just checked the Monster Manual and it does say that wolfweres can only be hit by iron or +1 or better weapons. This is kind of similar to werewolves who need silver or +1 or better weapons to be hurt. Funny thing is tho, I never knew this part... wolfweres can transform into any race of humanoid, typically the race of the intended victim. And what they'll do is play a little song that actually acts as a Slow spell on whoever hears it... tho nowhere does it mention the regeneration.

I'll do some more reading

A regular wolfwere doesnt have much of a regeneration rate, though a greater wolfwere regenerates like 2 hp/sec
Small nitpick: 3Hp/second

Yes, wherewolf are men that can transform into a wolf. A wholfwere is an intelligent wolf that can transform into a man.

As for silver weapons, magical weapons are more powerfull than silver weapons. If you look into the monsters manual, you will see that wherewolf can be hit by silver weapons or weapons of +1 and more.

if a wolfwere can regenerate faster than a werewolf... then there is no competition between the 2 races right? it would be slaughter for a werewolf to fight a wolfwere... it was stated before that these 2 races are engaged in a war? wolfwere's would easily beat werewolfs... right?

Maybe. Wherewolf are still more intelligent, as they are still men, while wholfwere are still animalistic.

I don't think wholfwere can reproduce as fast as wherewolf either.

I was referring to the greater wolfwere...I don't have problems with the regular wolfweres.
