After BG2 Ends *Spoiler*

Alright, I haven't beaten BG2 yet, but I've read the ending (yea, I don't really care if I spoiled myself, I still didn't get to PLAY the ending yet

) and when doing the Hell quests, your alignment can be changed to Evil. Considering that and the fact I'm using the ExpCap Remover, I was curious if, when you beat BG2, you can start over with the same guy the way he was when you beat it (like New Game+ on Chrono Trigger for anyone who's played that).

All that may not make much sense, but I ask because, if you can, at the end, I'd like to change to Evil and kill Irenicus, then start as an Evil character and play through as Evil, plus getting the experience since I removed the cap.

I don't think your alignment changes until you enter ToB with that character... but I could be wrong.

Well, I was looking at the Walkthrough here on IW, and here's a quote from it:

"IMPORTANT NOTE: If in any of the above tests you choose the Evil Path, you lose one reputation point and also have the alignment changed over to evil (if you were good or neutral)."

Plus, I was asking if once you beat BG2:SoA, you can start back at the beginning of the game with the character the way he was when you finished.

P.S. to the mods - Are the maps for the last few chapters going to be done? Considering the last update was in 2001, it doesn't seem likely, and I'd really like them...

No. You can't start a new SoA game with the same character after killing Irenicus. That wouldn't be funny. You would be too powerful.

Yes you can change your alignment in ToB but it has no effect.

Actually you CAN start a new game with any character you have used.. you can load them in from ANY saved game in BG2 by simply clicking import... saved games... then go into the saved game the character is in and load them in [img]smile.gif[/img]

i havent compleated bg2 yet but here is a tip im up to the drow city and considering i only got the game about 3 days ago i dont think thats bad all i did was finding places where you are constantly attacked and stayed there for a very long time now im a level 20/20
mage/cleric only one more level to go for cleric
