Sort of like a better version of Diablo in 3D. Easy to get into, but hard to put down . Give it a try - I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I tried both Darkstone and Diablo2: i played D2 only one month. On the other hand, even if i had DS for about 2 years, still sometime i enjoy playing it again
Then, there's the quest editor... Malleus |

DarkStone would be much more playable if it didn't envolve annoyingly having to move the camera all the time (I settled for a behind the shoulders set folling position) but apart from that it's not bad. I haven't played it for a few months now but that doesn't mean that it's rubbish, after all I've had mine since it came out and only uninstalled it twice in all that time (it's on my HD at the moment though ).

I'll try not to repeat anything that anyone else has written but beware the in game economy. You might kill a monster and pick up two gold pieces, buy a dagger and it'll cost over a thousand (I'm not kidding, untill you're mid to high level everything in the shops is too expensive).

just to keep things fair...
DS has issues, here are a few. hex hacking (trainer cheats) zer0 support on said cheating from DSI odd, and at times pointless character classes poor multiplayer support, hard to find a coop game short...very, very short, and the quest editor is a poor excuse so although most ppl would agree that DS is an awesome game that has basically endless hours of gameplay, most wouldnt deny that it can get real booring real fast during those hours. id suggest you go ahead and get it, surely it costs near natta nowadays. imho, its a classic for better and for worse. |
