In the transition periods when the game is loading an area, there are those tips that it displays. I saw one that mentioned a way to play an entire party of characters that you created by doing some kind of multiplayer game. All you would have to do is switch the control of all of them over to yourself. Which kind of multiplayer game is this? I could not figure out how to get this to work. Any advice/help would be appreciated.

When you start the game say you want to play multiplayer, and not single. Then create a new game with yourself as the only player on the server. You will start up a new game, and once you save it, will have the option of adding in imported characters of your own design.
The call for themed parties started me off to just that... a party of all elven women, plus one little halfing guy as the protagonist so I can get some romance going. The question is, which NPC to add to the fold? Vic.. Jah.. Arie... Mr. O (who knows the fiance is gonna pound him for this one.) |

Its quite simple really.
first, click multiplayer instead of single player. then, assuming you dont have a LAN installed, set protocol to direct cable. if this dosent work, and you have an internet connection, then TCP/IP should THEROTICALLY work. it dosent reallly matter since your not actually communicating with anyone else, but the game thinks you are. (note if you are on a LAN then interfering busybodys can join in while your setting up. just dont assign them any chars and theyll go away. a swift kick can also help) create a new game, dont bother with any fancy game names or passwords, and you'll come to a screen with 6 character slots on it. your name will be above all of them (if you did want someone else to play then you would click this and set their name instead) click create char amd create the chars as normal (pick a really hard one for slot 1, since if he dies, its over) click all the ticks. start the game. enjoy your totally lacking in personality automatons. note, in multiplay the most evil thing imaginable happens. you no longer fire off healing spells on rest automatically. its a pain having to do it manually, plus nobody ever remembers minscs Cure Minor Wounds etc. oh, and welcome to the board. try not to upset anyone, specially with regard to the aerie debate. |
