by Yves posted 11/2/00 5:21:33 AM Hey, I had the same problem, .wav files don't seem to play if they're set to read-only. You're probably also missing all sound effects. Open a DOS-Prompt, change to the appropriate W&W directory and enter "ATTRIB -R +A /S *.*", that should fix the problem. If it works, don't forget to write an angry mail to activision support and to discourage everybody you know from buying activision games. I've reported that problem (and eventually the solution) several weeks ago. They said they would "try to update the installation instructions", seems like that much work wasn't covered by their game support budget though. |
