There are a few ways to restore your Magicka if you have the Atronach birthsign:
*Buy potions of Restore Magicka, or use the Alchemy skill to make some. *Visit a temple. *Find any enemy that casts spells at you or uses magical attacks. As Kakero said, find a ruin or tomb which contains magic enemies. There's a tomb near Seyda Neen which contains a ghost in the first room who will replentish your magicka with each attack. The tomb is just up the hill on the road to Pelegiad and to your left. You could also summon a ghost from using conjuration spells, attack it and the let it refill your magicka meter. Don't do this in a town, though.

NO NO NO NO! You CAN get magic back that way, of course, but far easier and cheaper to visit any imperial altar or temple shrine, and pay 5 gold for restoration. Fills your magika completely, and of course its free once you do a few favors.
The rare shrine that doesn't offer Almsivi restoration will top you up if you ask for 'cure blight' a couple of times. An atronach with 100 IQ has 300 magika [350 if your breton], and seriously never needs to sleep, as it takes such a tiny % to heal completley. Yes, every time a magic attack is made on you, there is a percentage chance that you will capture the magika for yourself, but the cool thing is it renders the attack meaningless: many otherwise formidable enemies are essentially impotent. Early on, before you feel like going after ghosts and before you go to balmora, the attacks of shalks, alits, kwama whatsits all recharge manna. And sell all your lock probes: trapped chests and doors will recharge your mana as well. Very rare that one hits you hard enough to do any real harm, be preparred to go to your inventory screen for an anti-poison potion or whatever, just in case... Oru |

Well, there's a number of ways to overcome the Atronach's stunted magicka.

The atronach doesn't get recharged when he sleeps. But do you have any idea how long you have to sleep to regain 350 mana? (Days)
For anyone who has actually used the atronach, it's almost overpowered. The major weakness isn't a problem all. But regardless of sign, higher level chars only need to sleep to roleplay or level up |

If you want to use magic but don't have high magic skills, you have several fantastic options. First of all, you can get/pay for enchanted items. If you don't have the money, go raid a daedric shrine and sell the goods you capture to the Scamp in Caldera. Also, scrolls are good and cheap one-time use spells that you can buy and find all over the place.
Another option is to seek out those skilled in magicka and buy training. Again, you can get money by raiding Daedric shrines. ~grummz |
