LMAO, Armageddon. I'm only 18, and I still remember all of these. Though I dont think we cut people on Little League, lol. Course, I remember that stuff 'cause we were kinda (meaning really) poor. I miss looking for night crawlers after a heavy rain in the "lake" of our backyard. So, tack on another nostalgic sigh for me.

And now they want to legally ban a correcting slap in Holland, where are things going to!

You can extend all that to kids of the early 80s too, since we did all those things despite the availability of things like the oooh the Commodore 64 and Sega Master system when we were growing up

and it's only america and a few other westernised countries that really went "soft" growing up in eastern europe in the 80s was probably like america in the 60s or 70s in terms of safety and hygiene regulations.

Oh and the only reason people today are different is because technology appeals to human nature: people are inherently lazy: why should they go and walk somewhere if they can call the person on the mobile etc? Why should they go round someone's house if they can talk on MSN? The older generation would have been exactly the same as today's if the technology was available, it's not like they were "better" people then

yes, I realise this is a joke, have seen it before and now decided to post my opinions, since remember, "a lot of truth is said in jest" all jokes are based on someone's belief of truth or some evidence of truth.

EDIT: at least I now have a slightly less, albeit still, gay avatar

I'm a child of the late 80's. And I grew up on the Atari ST and the Spectrum.

I still got it...

Ah, the glory days of no childproof lids on medicine bottles. How I do hark back to thee.

How about when there were outdoor dunnies! Now there's your wimp measure right there!

LOL last night on one of the current affair type programs there was a story about a factory that has banned mobile phones on the factory floor, except during meal breaks. And of course, they had these three older (45+) worker guys having a big cry that 'what if there's an emergency and I can't be contacted immediately!! Even though they had set up three emergency numbers distributed to all workers and their families that are manned constantly
