Cape Town is gorgeous - I think it's prettier than Sydney (big words, coming from me). If anyone decides to go, make sure you stay somewhere near the V&A Waterfront (which is the heart of Cape Town nightlife) and do the scenic drive from the waterfront (Beach Road, it's a road that hugs the coast and goes through the beaches) through to Camps Bay (spectacular, like Bondi but with towering cliffs as well as the water), through to Hoets Bay.

Then on to Chapman Drive which is probably the most scenic drive I went to in South Africa - you're driving through this windy road heading up the edge of the Table Mountain range, with mountains on your left and the Atlantic Ocean way down on your right. That drive will take you southeast through to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope (where you will probably see baboons and other wildlife in the Cape Point National Park). Then you basically turn northeast after that and can take the drive up to Stellenbosch (great wine country).

Then from there you head west back into Cape Town through these beautiful towns nestled at the foot of the Table Mountain range. If you can finish off by heading up to Table Mountain for a 360 degree view of Cape Town from 3000 feet up and then retire to a great dinner of kudu, zebra and ostrich with a nice glass of red at Balducci's (great restaurant) on the Waterfront before returning to your hotel you'll have had the perfect day!

Man, I was just in Boston, but left just before you got back... Yorick and Mrs Yorick came to the show and we had a sleepover in my hotel room in WORSEster (Worcester). Shame we couldn't hook up a Sydney massive, but I saw your schedule and it didn't work out unfortunately...
Bugger. When are you back?
