erm...

I've played through SoA about 6 times with a party (using both NPC's and chars I've created) and SoA+ToB about 4 times using a party.

Then there's the solo's (all on insane, some using Ascension, in no particular order)....

Fighter/Mage/Thief (A newbies solo dream)
Cavalier (inspired by Dundee a loooong time ago)
Kensai (most satisfying)
Fighter (taken firstly through BG1+TotSC end result was extremely powerful)
Archer (easy once the correct tactic was masted)
Blade (the most well rounded character "A 'Jack of all Trades' but master of none" was an excellent analysis)
Beastmaster (hardest)
Kensai/Thief (far too powerful)
Swashbuckler (could eventually rival a fighter anyday)
Priest of Helm (easy)
Avenger Druid (shapeshifting forms and mage spells helped a lot)
Shapeshifter (awesome, highly recomended)
Sorcerer (most fun and easy once spells we're understood)
Monk (became so easy it was boring!)
Barbarian (can you say invincible )

And these are the only ones I can remember. So at least 25 times, but that is from the very first week the game was released over here in the UK! (think it was in October 2000) - don't stress, I was a student for the whole of this so I still had plenty of time to drink and work

I am still on my first game but I only started about a week ago. I haven't been playing much but on Friday I started around 10:00pm and ended stayed up until 6:00am Saturday, not good. The game is addictive and I can tell it has alot of replay value. Two females in my party are at each others throats, Minsc as a new witch to protect, and I am really enjoying the interaction between the different NPC's that seems to occur randomly. It is also quite challenging to do any battles without a magic user. I think 2 or three would be nice because I seem to keep running out of spells, and as soon as I do if I don't retreat I get my butt handed to me.

They are Aerie, Jaheira. Jaheria can be just plain mean at times especially when Aerie only has a few hit points left. I have the Nalia as well but she seems more mature or at least she is a team player and well behaved.

The Paladin I picked up in the sewers seems to like or respect Aerie but not have much time for Jaheria, at least they seem to have some opposing views on their belief system.

We'll see...

1 party berserker (SoA only)
+1 solo mage (SoA only)
+1 solo sorceress (SoA+ToB)
-------------------
3 times

Now I am RPing an evil solo sorcerer, later planning to pick up Viconia for romance Will last till the end of ToB if she doesn't annoy me much

Later on I will probably do a cavalier or a kensai. All solo

Hmm.. let me count.. I think SoA 4 times and ToB once. First time thief/mage, second cavalier (with this I went through ToB also), then dwarf berserker and finally, just few days ago, (don't try this at home!) fighter/mage/thief with 3 party members! That sucked , you get very little exp. Correction: You get just as much xp as single class, but you get level ups slower . But still, and now playing as an elven bard (just got out of the first dungeon).

And a question: Is there any way you can play as an elven bard (other way than editing/cheating)? I used ShadowKeeper to change my race. Perhaps some mod would do that.

Or was I just so blind that I didn't notice you can be bard when your race is elf? ;P
