Role-playing problem - Page 2

My justification for not going to spellhold right away is that I must make sure to be prepared for the Wizards and Irenicus. I like to complete just about every quest before I go to Brynnlaw.

I like to send Imoen off once I get her our of Spellhold and back to Brynnlaw.

Also, before Spellhold, I roleplay the thief stronghold to gather intelligence. [img]smile.gif[/img]

This whole discussion is the complete opposite of my first play at BG2. I took the view that no matter what Imoen was safe at Spellhold. I just couldn't bring myself to go there out of fear I would not be able to come back and do these other quests. Later I realised that I could do some after I returned from the underdark and in fact the Umar Hills quest could be best done after the under dark since you would want to go there to resurrect your love. Unless you are like me with an all girl team (with the exception of minsc of course).

By the way, doing these quests after the under dark is kind of anti-climatic. Even the Illithid lair was no problem with a pit fiend and one chaotic commands protection spell.

I can't find any roleplaying reason to do Amn quests after the Underdark, as your goal is quite clear.
