The quests in bg2 are infinently better than iwd2, but in iwd2 your character's can become gods, more than that. If there was a God for the gods(in the game) thats who ud be. I mean, sorcerors can use swords.

In IWD1, playing on HoF Mode with the TotL expansion and a party of 6( with some multiclassed characters), you have to literally BLEED to gain XP.
Ogre deals 48 damage to Member One Member One has died If you thought Insane Difficulty was hard... ... Even though I completed all the quests and slained every single monster, I still failed to max out my multiclass characters' levels. I love HoF Mode though, because it gave me a sense of danger. Every battle could be someone's last. Goblins are actually terrifying on HoF Mode. Imagine fighting a Goblin that has 104HP when you are only level 3-4. ![]() On the bright side... that same goblin will give you 2060XP. ![]() Oh, and one particular Dragon has 1680HP on HoF Mode. Fighting her was FUN. ![]() ![]() |

3rd Ed Rules apply only to IWD2. IWD1 uses 2nd Ed Rules.

Dont forget though, in IWD after killing creatures more than once, the xp for them starts to drain away to a lowly 10 in some cases. Now obviously this is good as it is more realistic, but Im just balancing both sides of this.
Oh and by the way Dundee, how much xp do you get for killing big beast? that must have been one hell o'va fight!
