Hmmm. If that was "before cheats and such," that would be one weirdo bug. But all you need is the "Cheatkeys" enabled to accidentally hit Ctrl-6 or Ctrl-7, which changes the avatar of the selected character, as well as writing the name of the new avatar in the Text Window....which would go a long way toward explaining why you changed into an all-black wearing wizardy person with the words 'HULA WIZARD' at the bottom of the screen.
