Hey Six, of all the merchandising that Balduran (and his agents) were into, the Butter Knife was the strangest choice. Maybe he was aiming for the domestic/housewife section of the market, but boy, did he miss the mark with that one.

As for your 'Horse' - we can't decide whether to look inside for soldiers or sing-along with the chorus. Midget Gems Snr says he so old that he even bought the album.

Yep, just as I thought: Heinrich, Midget Gems and I are all really old. We all passed the Cultural Literacy test! I'm so old, I get a kick out of watching the Power Rangers try to pretend that they aren't Voltron.

Actually, Midget Gems, the Trojan angle didn't even occur to me, as I couldn't get the song out of my head. I forget who did that number though, it was either America or Journey....

And if Balduran's mommy had really cared about him, she'd have given him the Combination-Tomato-Peeler-and-Turnip-Slicer of Balduran. Dradeel would have LOVED it!

I recall a Danish band named D.A.D. (Formerly known as a 'cow punk' band with the name "Disneyland After Dark" until they got sued by an offended American company ). You can see the lyrics here:

I thought that this song were one of their own songs, but it is appearently written by someone named "Dewey Bunnel"

Insane...

I took the link in your post and checked.
This band's earliest album/single was put out in 1985. The song they're posting was first performed in the 70's by a band called America. I'm not sure if this "Dewey" was part of that band, or just one of the many writers that usually don't get enough credit for their work, but I'm certain of the original performers. btw, can someone tell me how to create that off topic icon?
Is there a list of them somewhere?
