what weapon for jaheira ?

Am I the only person who gave Jaheira a +1 large shield, a +1 sling, and +2 bullets?

No, Pirengle, I kept Jaheira as a slinger as long as I had her, too. The aforementioned lack of magical clubs and scimitars in BG1 has pretty much rendered her impotent in close combat. Sad, because in BG2, the little honey's a fricken demon in combat.

One solution to this problem is to have her keep several shillelaghs and flame blades memorized.

And J doesn't have the dexterity in BG1 too!

No - I did that when I had her in my party. The problem with having a 2-handed weapon as the secondary weapon is, that you cannot use a shield with your sling. I'll say use a dagger or a scimitar (in case you got TotSC) as the secondary weapon only for use in case enemies get too close (who wants to have Jaheira in the front line anyways).

these are Drizzt's two Scimitar's that Jahera or any other player may use
in the game if you don't wan't to kill Drizzt or were to slow to catch him.
Nobody but Drizzt can duel wield in Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast.
but these weapons will kick some bad guy butt!!! one thing more, you have to be of good alignment to use the Defender but Jahera can use Frostbrand.
