sadly, WB had made it clearly that this movie was not made for comic fans. Using Catwoman as the movie title is only a way to cash in the comic book movie fever and trick underinformed comic fans and comic book movie suckers (= those who will go see any movie advertised as comic book movies even if it isn't one)into the theaters.

Larry, maybe it takes a comic fan (one who actually knows Catwoman at that) to be angry at the movie
You're wrong. I have never really known Catwoman and still it was dung from the devil.

The movie was so cheesy in so many parts that it litterly had me almost to tears in laughter. Before I continue I warn you there will be spoilers. When she supposedly "died" she somehow from deep underwater ended up back on the island "somehow". That is not the cheese it is the cats. Yep A dozen cats from nowhere start moving toward her and start meowing. You have to see it how lame it was. How the makers of the film made it more retarded was one cat entirely CG animated(Why can't they use a real cat?) went on Miss Berry's body and blew some erm...meowed and some frost emanated from it's mouth. The only cool part though was when Halle's pupil changed from circle to a vertical oval.

Another is when the cat lady threw Halle some catnip and she started rubbing it all over her nose and smelling and getting high off of it. I know she is partly a cat it is just the way she did it. She was rubbing the ball of catnip all over her nose.

I don't mind CG animation too much but in this sucky film they overdid it. Now the point of CG animation is to use it to fool the auidence thinking it real. And some films such as Gladiator had some CG and it took me three times to take any notice.

And after seeing the movie it left me a bad distaste for the character herself. I now think Catwoman is like a succubus. Though the comic books maybe is way different or at least subtle about it. The tounge thing with the detective was screaming whore! Please tell me if I'm exatterating.

Halfway through the movie someone yelled out "This sucks!" And nearly everyone said "Bullshi* when she fled from prison. These comments had me and other auidence members in laughter.

The only thing I liked about the movie was the fighting. The way she fought had a lot of finnese that toppled even Toby McGuire (Spiderman). Though must she everytime seemingly disappears and reappears behind her foe like in Dragonball Z? Like when Halle was on a pillar and the blonde woman fired some rounds onto her she seemingly "vanished" and was behind the blondie in a second. I know Catwoman is fast but cmon! The blonde should have seen her moving whilst she was shooting her gun. Oh and when the blonde knocked her head on the pole it was funny. Especially at the end when the blonde falls off the building and for the first few seconds starts flipping around like a rag doll . Everyone was laughing at a supposedly sad moment. And some people left their seats after that.

In conclusion do not waste your money or your time. Unless you and a couple of buddies want to crack jokes at something. I have a feeling I exatterated but I don't care I hated nearly every minute of it.

P.S. I just have to add this

One of the little kids around five years of age yelled "I want to go home! NOW!"

Somehow I had no intention or a slightest hint of want to see this film or I, Robot. Both are the kind of summer movies that seem to be made by movie companies executives specificly to make money.
This one seemed like a "lets see how Halle Berry look in a catsuit" film and I, Robot... come on, Will Smith fighting 10.000 copy paste computerguys which design was stolen from a Björk video... no thanks...

I, Robot is actually not a brainless action flick. The trailers have been very misleading.

As I'm sure the lovely little bouncy lass in your sig can attest, a large head is a paedamorphic trait that is used in animation and other visual arts to convey youth and cuteness -- which anime also uses to convey youthful innocent sexiness. If you want to make something cute and young looking, give it big hands, big feet, and a big head. Stuffed animals demonstrate this remarkably.

<font face="Verdana" size="3" color="#00FF00">A little late posting but I watched this last night and immensely enjoyed it. I think the critics were way to hard. The story was thought out enough that this Catwoman need not be the same Catwoman in the comics i.e.. Batman's Catwoman. You see there have been many to receive the gift and could easily be more than one. They could easily do a sequal and not use the same hero. There was tons of action and the movie was quite fun. I enjoyed it far more than the Hulk, and any of the Batman movies. I thought it was at least 3 1/2 out of 5 stars and those reviewers giving it 2 stars or two thumbs down or whatever must be dog lovers. But to each their own.

My favorite line: "Lassie would have brought me a key."</font>

I havn't seen it yet, but with a costume like that I'm sure the movie will be entertaining to watch.
