hey i thought it looked stupid at first too, but it turned out to be the coolest final fantasy game since FF7. the role-playing factor is really hands on. plus the puzzles are really cool (especially the chocobo mini-games and sword dueling). its also cool that u get 4 party members in battle. as well as the 8 cool characters. the story-line is beutiful and funny. deffinatly a game worth trying. the airships are fun to play with as well.

Sultan: I love the char. development and the turn based combat rocks, other than that I am just looking for something good to waste some brain cells

I got about half way through fallout 2..maybe I'll dig that up again...from whatever depths of hell it may have gone to....

Here's praying for Wiz9....I'll have to sacrifice something as an offering to the RPG Gods....

This is a very different style of game, but I've been playing it for the last 5 or 6 years (starting from early beta releases) and I still play it. It even has one of my suggestions in it, which rocks. It's called ADoM and you can download it at:

www.adom.de

It's a Roguelike game, but it's far from being a dungeon crawl type of thing. It's very complex. I've completed it a couple of hundred times and I still play it, which says a lot. I haven't tried any of the God completions, though.

It's a free game. The author requests a postcard from you, since he likes to get postcards from people around the world. Little enough for 130K lines of code from one person.

Few people achieve their first victory within 6 months, BTW. It has a very steep learning curve.

THEIF!!! THEIF 1, THEIF GOLD, or even THEIF 2. These games are AWESOME.

Plan on using a lot of time on every level. Long long game but well worth it.
