Yeah, they sure did.. do things right; shame about npc's getting in the way sometimes though.
I bet you could take a party with 2 healing amulets each and let the game run all night for random encounters and they'd all be alive in the morning. Any volunteers wanna' test my theory?

heh, that's a fairly close descritpion of my party practising Reflextion et al. But if we get a good practise encounter, we stick with it for a while rather than wandering around. One AH apiece is usually enough unless you're in Expert.

I sometimes want to hack my PC into pieces !!!
My party was killed again . I wonder how you always win games on expert with only 2 RPC's. But back to the story. In the swamp my Lvl 11 party encountered 6 BloodDrinkers. Had a Missile Shield Lvl 3 and an Armorplate Lvl 6 up. First Round : 4 paralyzed members !!!! So I decided to flee . Ran arond a corner into a group ants ( queen + soldiers ) . The queen made my fighter insane. From the back the bugs ( they followed me ) still fired their stingers. I played such a party on normal some months ago. But on expert a missile shield Lvl 3 is absolutly useless. Every stinger hits and penetrates the armor. No deflection ! So 6 Bugs with 2 shots each always have 12 hits . After that round the whole party was paralyzed and I could watch them die. BTW: My Lvl 11 Dwarf with Iron Skin, Silver Sollerets and Armorplate Lvl 3 was hit in an earlier combat in the foot by a soldier ant for 8 Pts of Dmg !!!!! Loudhy, never gamble, you have the worst luck I've ever seen. Seriously though, any of those damn bugs in the swamps can be a b*tch to handle because of their blind, paralyze, poision that always seem to go into effect as soon as you get hit. I forget which is the best flies, TseTse or Mother drinkers or something, but you should have seen what they did to my two elemental lords.
A tip, they have low HP so blast their @$$ with fireball, firebomb, iceball, etc. |

I know that, but without money there is no chance to buy them. And my combats before destruction were so hard that I needed 12 ressurection powders.
6 deathsting apuses killed 5 of my party members ( was very lucky in that combat that I could escape ). Had 4 cavern spiders in the lower martin's bluff near sadok's shop when my party was lvl 10. Tried to escape but 4 of that stupid t'rang guarders tried to "help" me and blocked my path so I was forced to fight . I had luck again and survived with 2 members . I could add a looooong list here , were my party members were killey by accident ( read the first post in this topic about the earth elemental lord) ![]() [ 08-13-2004, 03:52 AM: Message edited by: Loudhy ] |

I never ever have a money problem. There's way too many items around that can be sold and by the time you get to the swamp you should have 5-6 empty bottles to make cherry bombs with. Don't save all your spells picks for later. Use 1 or 2 for the good stuff like Nox Fumes and Whip Rocks, if they apply to your party. This is another advantage of a small party. My 2 Ninja are really good. For some reason they're better than the 3 I had before; lvl ups maybe. What's the party make-up, same as above? If you have 0 Stealth, that may explain your trouble.

You know, always remember the saying "live today, fight tomorrow".
You could just run your way through the tough areas. |
