Just to clarify, this game was not made by BIS. Its made by a studio call Reflesive or something and is only published by Interplay. I just don't think its fair to blame a studio for a game they did not make.

Quoted from the lionheart official FAQ:

"Q: Who is making the game?
A: Lionheart is being developed by Reflexive Entertainment. Black Isle Studios teamed up with Reflexive and is publishing the game. While Reflexive is responsible for the vast majority of the gameplay and design decisions, Black Isle oversees development and contributes wherever possible to ensure that the two companies can bring you the best gaming experience."

It comes with the job as they say...it comes with NWN and Lionheat is what *i* say...
Yeah, thats actually one of THE major downsides of this game: it feels like Diablo and that is a bad thing if you expected BGII stuff....
Yep...I am a little disappointed.

I think they are just using BIS's name to sell the game. Well, to me, that game is not a BIS product. For one, they could have come up with a better gameplay and design. I think BIS mainly help them with the implementation of the SPECIAL system.

Right, sorry bout that.

As far the difficulty of the game: build this character:

Demokin
9's in INT, AGI & PER
6 in Luck, put points in whatever you like, but I recommend STR for carrying capacity
take the gifted and skilled trait (this char doesn't need as many perks so...)
take the elemental spirit
tag RANGED, EVASION & FORTITUDE

Now, this guy is obviously an archer. Play the game, and you'll soon find out that
A) you have a very high rate of attack
B) you dodge almost ALL attacks (made by those who survived your rain of arrows)
C) you get MUCHO skill points at level up, which is THE most important thing in the game.

With this char, I cleared out almost all areas before even going inside Barcelona.

Considering the previous: the game BLOWS, because this character shouldn't even survive a snake bite.

Also, make sure you get the permanent +1 luck potions from the dryad and the beggars end you'll end up with 9 luck.

When you reach level 35, get the sniper perk.
Now you are a turret of ultimate destruction: firing arrows/bolts like mad, never missing and scoring criticals on almost every hit.
The game is hard, yes, but when you make this character like I did, the game becomes too easy (ecxept for certain bosses). The real issue here is balance.

Im having a lot of fun with the game.

The difficulty is very strong though, for anyone used to almost any crpg lol.
Such as diablo or baldurs gate or whatever you want to compare it too.

Any three peon monsters can kill you. And I just met my first Daeva and its no go on that guy, back up into the wilderness and level up more.

Lots and lots of reloading and saving. Until you do reach frustration. B

But... fun still and interesting.

No difficulty setting? Sort of standard on all crpgs recently. No speed setting? No settings in general. Only brightness and sound. And you need to adjust the brightness Im glad they put that in lol.

BIS really did a weird job on late games.(i.e Lionheart and NWN) About NWN-it is just my opinion. Like Diablo only better.

Hmm. I think Greyhawk will claim the throne-temporarily of course.
correct me if im wrong, but NWN isnt a BIS product. It was made by Bioware, Atari and Interplay...

Err, Kakero. There really isn't much tactic involved when you're not fighting bosses, which is 80% of the total time. When you have to dispatch of another batch of 50 monsters in a boring dungeon, without any action other then point-and-click required from your part, the game drops in fun-levels really hard.I suggest not buying the game, but lending it from a friend. Or download the demo from interplay!!
