Kaz! I'm happy for you! Whoa.. that's too many dentist visits! LOL
I'd tell you my wisdom tooth horror story but.. oh hell why not?
I had THREE heavily impacted (read: in jawbone) wisdom teeth removed in ONE surgery in the dentist's office. He had me start pain killers and steroids (for swelling) a few days BEFORE the surgery. Two hours of excruciatingly dull but tense time for me... sit this way, open that way, don't move at all..... and I was on nitrous oxide the whole time. The narcotic painkiller they put me on had me hallucinating that I was being followed and totally paranoid. It was addictive and I knew I had to get off of it even though the pain was really not manageable. Let's just say it was NOT fun for a few days.

While on the drug, I nearly lost a very dear friend because I had NO idea what I was saying on the phone to her one day but apparently it was very offensive..sigh.. lucky for ME, she'd had another friend with worse reactions to that same painkiller and she immediately forgave me when she heard that I was on it.
I ended up back at the dentists twice as a piece of one tooth had stayed in my jawline (they chipped much of it out and this shard got hidden behind another root) and it worked it's way up and toward my gumline...Ouch!

Anyway, I'm REALLY glad you are pain-free now! I can very much sympathise!

Cloudy

Hey Kaz! Good to see you again! Anyways, if I were you, I would get them all done at once. It is far better to just get it all over and done with then to prolong the agony. I had all 4 done on 1 day and it sucked, but it was bearable.

Congratulations, Kaz. I'm glad you are feeling better. My Hungry Teenage Stepson had his two lower ones removed over Thanksgiving, very untactful. He didn't get to eat much, but was ravenous for the next two weeks. Come to think of it, he still is. I am lucky. When I was 17, my dentist told me that all mine had to come out, or this dire thing or that dire thing would happen. I simply ignored him, and here it is, many years later, and I'm fine. Latest dental x-rays show that my wisdom teeth simply reabsorbed.

And the moral of this story is? "Ignore your dentist"?

OUCH Kaz, that sounds horrible! I am so glad for you the whole thing is finally over and I'm impressed by how you dealt with it - being in pain can really ruin everything!
Hope the next one won't be as bad...
