I got to wander around the Alcoa plant in Massena NY last year, I have it on the best authority that it's Aluminum.

It's likely that somone was painting a sign for Alcoa some years back... and they forgot the i. Instead of fixing it they just left it that way... figuring noone would notice.

Another one I can think of is Favourite... Im sure u spell that one differently.

The american pronunciation that makes me laugh most is VE-HIC-ILL [img]smile.gif[/img] - not like us that pronounce it VEREKILL, I dunno, your way is probably right but it still sounds funny to me
