Mid 1980's Coca-cola advert gimmick. Given that the 80's was also the time that Coca-Cola produced "New Coke", I think that can pretty well tell you the cultural quality of Mr. Headroom as well.
 There's a lot of good stuff that came from the 80's...and a lot of crap as well. Max Headroom falls into the latter category. It figures that a bunch of 'Net geeks would resurrect him. -Saz
