Leave it to Oblivion437 to mess my thread up. I had to edit the "F" word out of your rant, by the way...and I do not appreciate having to do that. How many times do unthinking posters have to be suspended around here to get the message across that we don't use that language on this forum?

You took my topic in the wrong direction and are trying to "heat it up" so bad that there is no reason to talk to you about it. It sounds like you did not even understand why I was posting and asking a question, and instead chose to pick out parts of peoples' posts and turn them into your toys.

I will say this once. If I do not see future posts in direct relation to the topic I asked about, which is namely the debate that occurred in London last night and the issues brought up there, I will have no reason to leave this topic open. I only want to know how that event went, without anyone's whiny side-comments included. You can then open your own topics and talk about whatever you want, but my topic will be maintained by me and the discussion will be moderated by me.

And if you cannot adhere to this moderation, then its your choice to start another thread and leave mine alone.

BTW...to make myself more clear to those that may have misunderstood my intentions of this thread, I started it with the intent on learning what these two had to say in the official debate. We all know how each of us here at IW feels, as we have a library of locked heated topics to reference any time we want.
I beg of you all to not make this another locked thread where we all critisize one another about our own personal thoughts that we have already mentioned dozens of times.

Is that too much to ask of anyone?

I could not find anything Larry, maybe a blogger or someone else in the know will let something out. It appears to be quite un-popular on the major search engines. Shamrocks link to the free-repulic seems to be the only place that acknowledges it.

That is very interesting. It seems that it would have been made more public. I like that one comment that the person on that forum said...that he ws surprised it did not make news in the mainstream media. Yet I heard about it on the radio over here, so obviously somebody cares enough to have mentioned it.

I wonder if I can find out at least who walked away as the winner of the debate...meaning...who came most prepared to defend their side and made the best arguments. If I can hear that, then I will be satisfied.

I am betting that the Australian made a better argument. I am not stating that I support her views...but I bet she had the most on the table at the end of it.

All you need to know, a report from one of the audience members [img]smile.gif[/img] It seems to be a summary of events as well which is helpful. The points of view are kept back until the comments below. Actually, there is definitely a right-wing american slant to his viewpoint, but still informative in parts.

Man! You have come through for me! Thanks alot! I enjoyed reading the synopsis and especially liked this part...

It was a very civilised affair and though the audience was clearly passionate, it showed restraint for the most part and allowed the 2 debators to put their arguments forward clearly.

If these two can have a decent debate and keep it civilised...then those passionate IW'ers that love to debate issues like this should have no problem doing so, either.

As I recall, Europeans have a problem with a momma that likes the "Sadistic abuse for the simple pleasure of it" school of parenting. America had enough of that back in '76, and we decided that the government would be the people's whipping boy, not the other way around.

Shows how much you know about Europe, which is absolutely totally zippededooda. And for the last time, quit refering to Europeans as if it's one race, nothing is more insulting than that.
