Well, as I posted earlier, I certainly agree with Churchill being Number One. Was rerererereading William Manchester's unfinished biography of Winnie last night as bedside reading. Marvelous book. Though it would probablyhave given Barry nighmares.

I think Lennon will be remembered in 100 years time as his acheivements were actually quite large, and definately far reaching, not just in music but in society as a whole. But Diana? I strongly doubt people will remember her in 100 years, or if they remember her it will not be as the third greatest Britain of all time.

Don't get me wrong, I quite liked the woman. I just don't think she actually acheived enough to be considered a Great Britain.

And Attalus? My Grandfather is possibly Churchill's greatest fan... believe me, I've heard it all before...

What about Achibald Leech? (aka Cary Grant). David Niven?? Of course they were actors and not political heads, but still. As for Diana...well...I think the janitor of the Buckingham Palace should be placed higher. (I get excited chills running up my spine at thinking how many people might be offended by that last remark.)

the only reason she was in the top 10 was becuase she's dead. she wouldn't of made the top 100 otherwise (unless she did something spectacular after she was supposed to of died).
