As far as I know it's not the address itself that does anything, Reeka. You have to use some kind of software to access it. If you use Outlook or somesuch as Luvian mentions, it's that software that has blocking and filtering options. Check whichever program you access it with and and try the help. Otherwise check into using Netscape to access it and set up the pop info there, you can filter with their software.

Try mailwasher. It lets you bounce those emails from pop accounts and hotmail, too.

A friend recommended it, and I've been using it for about 2 weeks. It's a small program, and so far, has proven quite effective.

That program looks interesting, Ronn. How long have you been using it? Any problems or does it mesh easily (what os are you running, out of curiosity)?

The only advice I have for you is just to filter out your email from those sites and addresses, but it's odd though. Even in my hotmail, I never get any porn or any other advertisements for that matter, lucky me

Ps- New avatar! Hehe.

I mean there must be some way to get these people to leave you alone.
I too get lots of junk mail. But it's not because of the tgeweb accounts, it's when you post or sign up for things, your email address is taken and sold. GRR!
What I COULD do is make you a new email account with a new name..?? Like Reeka_tgeweb@tgeweb.com or something... ??

Let me know!

The hubby recommended Pegasus. It´s a mail client and it has built in features of selective downloads. I tried it, really cool. Before downloading the mail from the server you get a view on what is on it, then you can select what mails to download and which to delete.

I think I may have to put my junk mail filter on MAX, as I get over 100 spam mails a day.

Spam sucks.
