I thought 7 was a very fair score for Episode II. it was 100 times better than the filthy tripe that was Episode I, but it had its shortcomings nonetheless (in the script and the acting, pretty much.) the last half of Episode II takes a turn for the far cooler, too bad the first half couldn't have been as satisfying. Although one of the first scenes (Obi Wan and Anakin's pursuit of the shapeshifter assassin amidst flying cars) was pretty impressive, i thought.

The problem with Episode II is that the first twenty minutes is the best part of the whole movie. Too bad it was straight out of The Fifth Element. It's like my brother says: The more movies George Lucas makes, the more apparent it is that the first three movies were just a fluke.

yeah, i didn't think of that before but now that you mention it that whole flying car scene was VERY fifth-element inspired.

[/QUOTE]Not to mention the fact that they crashed the car on a street that wouldn't look out of place in 'Blade Runner'...
