Yes, I always wear a seat belt. It feels wierd driving in the car without wearing it. But it does feel uncomfortable. It seems like they weren't really made for, em, the shape of the female body. Or at least mine. The upper part always slides upwards and make me uncomfortable, and it's a bit scary because if there was a crash I could get my neck cut. I've heard that has happened before.

On the rare occasions that I'm actually in a car (more the bicyle/public transport kind of person ), I always wear a seatbelt by default... Never crossed my mind not to wear one.

I'm voting that either it's a random occurrence or polls get bumped up when people vote on them.

It might be spontaneous zombification. That happens sometimes.

Yes I wear it, yes it saves lives (but as johnny's story proves, it can also stop them from being saved, but I'd say they are more a help than a hinderance).

Agrees with the general consensus that seatbelts save lives more often than not. Only recently, however, (when my license was under fines suspension) did i actually wear it every time i drove. Now that i'm licensed again, the urgency has gone, and i've slipped back into the habbit of not even thinking about it. It's pretty silly, i know, but until i've been in a situation where i've actually needed one (as most of my mates have at one time or another), the thought of wearing a seatbelt every time i get into a car will not be automatic. *shrugs*

In my opinion (regardless of previous accidents) if you don't wear one, you are a moron, however that is ok because you will likely remove yourself from the gene pool if you do have an accident.

I am still fairly young, but my time in emergency response has proven just how effective they can be (if they are used correctly, there are a lot of rules and techniques that people don't seem to know about them)

I suscribe to the theory that if my car gets crashed with me behind the wheel, i want to die with it.

Seat belt all the time. Saves lives why not.

Does anyone turn the airbag off if they have the option?
