Get clean bowl.
(pour as much desired of your favorite cereal directly into bowl)
Then add milk till cereal starts to float.

I used to burn everything, but I'm better at it now. The things I cook now actually taste good. Too bad they often look like vomit. But that's getting better too. My boyfriend is teaching me how.
I'm much better at baking though. I make yummy cakes and cookies.

I once made some fabulous toast, but I'll admit, it was a long time ago. I can still make a wicked cereal when called upon to do so though. Apart from that, my cooking skills are nada. My mother once asked me to switch off the oven while she went out for a jog but in my total ignorance of all things cuisine, I turned off the washing machine instead. She walked in two hours later to a load of wrinkled laundry and a totally burned pizza that I'd left smoldering in the cooker. So yeah, since then I've generally had a bit of a phobia in terms of preparing food. My girl's a mean cook though, so I'm in the clear for now.

The worst is cream sauce with tomato in it - ALWAYS looks like vomit - which kind of puts you off even if it tastes good!

I usually use recipes at least to get inspiration; I think with more experience I'll be more confident at making stuff up from scratch, but I most often change things or omit stuff I don't like. Probably when I move out of home and don't have my mum to turn to for advice on how long to cook things and how much to put in or something I'll get more adventurous. I make up a lot of yummy pasta sauces though

Aelia : You'll be surprised what you can make out of a couple of eggs, a packet of old noodles, and some frozen peas. Moving out of home is the honing ground of ingenuity

I am trained to be a cook not a chef I worked at waffle house for years, and learned how to cook their food, as well as knowing how to cook growing up, my grandmother taught me all of her trades, and can now make things like cookies from scratch, bisquits from scratch, as well as gravy, all the way up to cooking meats and all the other good stuff
