My company gives out MontBlanc knock-off pens to its customers. I use one of those -- very nice, and a good feel to it. I used to have a MontBlanc, but I lost it at the security checkpoint in the Toronto airport
I think my favorite commercial pen is an Opti-Flow pen that I got from Staples. I had a gift certificate to use, and my order was just a couple bucks short of the gift certificate. On-line, they wouldn't let me just give them the balance... I had to buy something else, and bought these cheap pens. They were really worth it...

I don't mind really, But I do have a preference for black kilometrico Papermate pens, medium point. Cheap, nice, and also reliable and long lasting.

Black ones, preferably with a medium point.
Fine tips, piss me off.

Hubby loves his sharpies, too, Leonis! And he's addicted to gel pens..some specific brand, but darned if I remember it! LOL
I like the Uniball Onyx pens and right now we've got Papermate Comfortmates that aren't too bad. We have cheapie stick pens for 'leave on the desk and someone will swipe them' pens at the office.
