If, in Chapter 3, you attack anybody affiliated with your employer (or otherwise turn them Hostile), your game is essentially over. If you aren't killed immediately, you've still screwed up your game beyond repair.
It's a pity that the Vampires and Shadow Thieves are you only choices; what about the Harpers, the Zhentarim, or the Cowled Wizards themselves? Major MODding potential here.
