It's actually rather simple, the knight in shining armor Paladin Archetye is a HUMAN concept, elves have their own, F/M(bladesinger to be exact), dwarves are the consumate warrior/craftsman they don't pretend to hold to lofty ideals, Halflings rarely have the ambition to enforce their gods will with an iron fist. And Gnomes would rather study humans at their strange games of honor than actually try to play the game themselves, and Halforcs... well they'd never be accepted in the nobility class that Paladins are part of, so while he may agree with the ideals of a paladin and follow the strictures, quite simply, no one really wants him around, as part of the order, or as anything more than a servant.

What I'd Like to See:

Elves: Bard, Druid, Fighter/Druid, Fighter/Cleric
Half-Elves: Fighter/Cleric
Gnomes: Bard
Halflings: Cleric/Thief
Half-Orcs: Cleric/Mage

The problem with the Half-Orc Cleric/Mage is that although there is an existing avatar for them, there is no paperdoll.

I also want Druids to have a little freedom as far as Alignment is concerned: Cernd is True Neutral, yes, but Jaheira is so obviously Neutral Good, and the Shadow Druids have always had Neutral Evil written all over them.
