I am thinking about soloing a straight kensai all the way through. Would it be ok if i put 5 stars in axe and then work my way up to three in dual-weilding?

Actually, unless your a cheater and use very reasonable patch that fixes the farkup with the proficiencies, you should not bother with a 5 prof in anything. Oooh! +2 to hit, +3 damage, +1/2 attack and +1 speed factor! Wow! Of course, just compare that to: +1 to hit, +2 damage, +1/2 attack. With a kensai, the SF bonus is moot, and to hit/damage is already through the roof. Go for the Dual Wielder first, later finish up 5 profs if you want. Oh, you should use a Half Orc btw, since you don't really need much brains to hit things. Only one actual worry, how do you consistantly avoid the effects of Imprisonment? Berserker does that easy enough, magic users of all types have it easy their, but that would really get annoying. Up their with Level Drains like Bhodis.

For some reason, merely having 100% magic resistance didn't ignore the effects Imprisonment. Rather farked up. Ah well, you can always use Antimagic Scroll twice, but after that? I haev to wonder.

I have been soloing alot with a thief (lv24 - use any item HLA) that I dualclassed into a cleric. took awhile to get her back to lv 25 cleric, but a priest that can backstab from the shadows is just plain fun.
