Dr. Otto Octavius, and Dr. Curtis Conners, A better pair, I think not. Ok, this is how I see it. Those 2 are working on the experimental formula, to re grow Doc Conners arm, it's a success but when Connors turns into the Lizaed he trashes the Lab. This is where Dr. Octopus is born.

Now to tie Spider-man into this, he goes back to Dr. Connors, to try and get his job back, remember he was fired in the first move. I think that works, what about you?

I can't wait to see Spidey!!! Looks ace.....I hope it's as good as you say, it took 80$USD in it's first week (I think that was the figure I read in the paper this mornin!!!)>

I thought X-men was quite cool, hope they stick to the comicy feel with Spidey!

glad someone else noticed the dr. connors connection, I also noticed Vargas, one of the Oscorp board members he became the vulture (guess he's out of the running for a possible villain), Pete (Tobey Maguire) also mentioned the Thing from the fantastic four, another movie in the works? *crosses fingers* (and yes i read in wizard that the first time they made the movie it was never released because it was crap, but it did have them facing off against Dr Doom)

as far as having spidey against a better villain there isn't one who has been more of a thron in spidermans side then the goblin, among other things such as mind controlling peter into becoming the goblin through his toothpaste (who writes this stuff), he killed parkers first real love (gwen stacey when spidey tried to save her from falling to her death her neck got broken by the sudden halt of downward movement), he replaced aunt may with an actress who had a stroke (marvels excuse for not leaving may dead) and many more things that have happened since they were created.

I thought the movie was great and seeing Ash (Bruce Cambell) as the wrestling announcer made my weekend.

Spider-Man rules. He has always been my favourite hero. I saw Stan "the Man" Lee in the street crowd, but am not sure about the barge scene. Anyone see Lucy Lawless (Xena)? There were a number of cameos.
I caught the Dr. Connors reference, too. I figure he might be in the next one. Most likely, though, will be Doc Oc. I guess it is also inevitable that Venom will appear (groan) due to his popularity.
And about MJ's family life, yes she did have an abusive father in the comics.
I hope Daredevil will be good. Remember the TV version in the Hulk movie? Dressed all in black...
Still, that was much better than their version of "Thor", who was just a viking king who wanted to earn his way into Valhalla (Blech). I think they were afraid that if they made him a god, they'd have trouble with the Religious Right...
