Weird ... My dual wielding fighter : celestial fury + blade of roses
around 13-15 th lvl, was able to kill all greater Wolfwere's in Fiirkraag's dungeon by himself, cant remember if he was hasted ..
But the average HP/round regen. of a GW is about 30-40 i think, my fighter got above that easily, using the 19-strenght girdle

Just to clarify, in my party there is me kensai/mage (9/12) w/ 18/98 strength, Valygar (11th), Mazzy (lvl 14 w/ ogre gauntlets, Jaheira (lvls 10/12 F/Druid), Yoshimo (lvl 15) and Aerie (10/11 C/M). I was able to take out all but one greater wolfwere. For the last remaining one I summoned 2 fire elementals, one air elemental and at least one lesser earth elementals, hasted, chanted and prot from evil 15' for all. Then everyone except for Aerie began pounding. Aerie sat back and poured on mm's and flame strikes. I'm not kidding when I counted up over 700 hit points of damage done in less then a couple of rounds. I even went to configure and reset to novice, and it still was impossible. The worst I could inflict was "barely injured". In contrast, on the 2nd try I took down Firkraag in less then 5 rounds. However, that was after the tip about the chromatic orb. (thanx).
