Now I'm hoping for a Liberal Government, but we'll probably get a minority Conservative one.

If you're refering to the talk I had about the culture in Quebec and the fact many people want to seperate, I was expressing the point of view of the average french quebecois, not mine. My views are different. |

I'm just joking around... I figured you weren't a seperatist. But, the Bloc is kind of pointless as a federal party since they can never win an election. I just don't understand what that party hopes to accomplish.

Looks like the Conservatives win a minority government, 20 seats ahead of the Liberals. The NDP moved up. Too bad, early on they were predicting a Green party seat. That would've been awesome. In other news, my riding has an amazing 38% voter turnout.
![]() Any word on who this independent guy is in Quebec? I don't have any idea who he is. Also, does this make Stockwell Day our foreign minister? God help us if he is.

A weak conservative minority, though it seems like the Liberals held onto more seats than was predicted.
Heh, which riding are you in Moose? Not Harpers, I would hope. I'm in Edmonton-Leduc, and Rajotte handily won by some 20 000 votes or something. Isn't it great living in blue alberta? ![]() |

So, with a likely Conservative minority, I will go out on a limb with my top 5 predictions:
1) Harper will, at some point, make me ashamed that he is representing me as prime minister. 2) Martin will, at some point, make me ashamed that he is representing me as leader of the official opposition. Edit: although the early reports are that he will step down. 3) Layton will, at some point, make me ashamed that he won his own riding. 4) The parliament will be almost as dysfunctional as the last one, get more done, be more controversial, and spew even more rhetoric at the media in preparation for the next election. Oh, and you can forget about the GST rollback, too. 5) The minority government will fall within a year and we'll elect another minority government the next time around, too.
