Sorry, poor choice of words here. Last Christmas Sydney did fire up - literally.
I spent most of Christmas day on the roof of my brother-in-laws' house being 'rained' upon by ashes and burnt leaves, trying to see exactly how far away the bushfires were and which way they were headed...

OMG hopefully not HOT hot like last year. Was over 40 from christmas eve to new years eve. You just can't function in heat and humidity like that.

Hey Lennon . How bad is it where you are? I'm going down the gold coast today, even with the bit of rain they've had recently still water restrictions . I heard on the news yesterday that unless there's some substantial rain soon next year's crops and produce will be the lowest since 1984.

Their saying theres similar conditions to that before ash wedensday. So there could be even worse fires than last year. Its not that bad around my area, but you go 40km to east and its starts getting bad. The rain just seems to stop.

Are you on the coast? I used to live at Newman - not many fires to worry about there, there was nothing to burn! But the cyclones...

I saw an ad about 10 mins after I posted about no water restrictions for Sydney that there are some now. About time. But it's only residential which means state parliament can keep watering their lawns around noon! Crazy...
