I saw it on Boxing Day! It was unbelievable. I need to see it again soon - so much to take in.

We bought tix to the first session a number of days before. The theatre was absolutely full and when it had finished I realised people had been standing up the back for 3 hours watching (staff? staff's friends getting to see it 'free'?)

We came out and people were queued from the theatre doors, up two flights of stairs and out onto the street...That was those that already had tickets - the steady stream of people performing anguished U-turns in front of the box office was explained by the sign "ALL LOTR sessions SOLD OUT today"

Hey, sure you do. There're LOADS of it in the cow paddocks a few miles out from where we live. You can just walk in and take it. The cows don't mind.

It's wierd but I'm sure LOTR isn't that popular where I live (southern England).
I mean sure, the prime-time shows (early, mid evening) are sold out on the first few nights but normalyy you can always get tickets after that or at the early shows when people are at work.
