Re: Barack Obama wins ....what now?
The Dems have already announced. No matter who got the nomination, it was going to be a first. Anything the Republicans do on the other side risks being seen as just a "me too".

Re: Barack Obama wins ....what now?
We are now faced with electing the greater of the two parties, or as some would say, the lesser of two less than worthy politicians.
It's simple really, Jimmy carter attempted to take on big oil in the 1970's, wow, did OB pull that from the history channel or what! McCain says we will stay in Iraq until we complete the mission. FOLKS. You had better re-read the world take on Iran's nuclear program, the very one in which the US backed off of! If you want troops home, then expect more terroristic operations happening within the homelands borders. The terrorists have won stage one, we are now paying them almost four bucks a gallon of go-go juice. Stage two is in the bag, some want change so bad they cannot see the outcome, and will blindly allow a complete withdrawal, and strict verbal policy against terrorists. Stage three transpires when our politicians sit down and have open talks with terror group leaders, that is when I depart and relocate elsewhere on this planet. France for instance, does not allow terror groups to sit at the table of parliament!

Re: Barack Obama wins ....what now?
If McCain wins, I'm moving to Canada. This might sound childish or even biased, but if millions of people are willing to vote another Republican again, supported by Bush no less, the country's screwed.

I'd be with you if it wasn't for the fact that I'm in the UK - and it's hard to tell the difference between Labour and Conservative here, so damned if I know what I will do when we get to our next general election. Canada's looking good.

Re: Barack Obama wins ....what now?
The hope Obama represents for many, though IMO is usually false hope, is better than the policy of a continuing and endless war.
