I just copied this from a Harry Potter Website called (Big Smile) "The Leaky Cauldron".

Author J.K. Rowling has finished drafting the fifth Harry Potter novel and may give it to her publishers, Bloomsbury Plc and Scholastic Corp., in three to six months, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing Rowling.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix could be published as soon as 2 1/2 to five months after editing, the paper said. Rowling, who married in December and is four months pregnant, told the newspaper she's satisfied with what she's written and denied that she's suffered from writer's block.

"Book five is frankly huge," Rowling said, according to the Journal. "I needed to step off the one-book-a-year treadmill. I knew people would say that she's lost it. But that's the price you pay for doing what you need to do good work and to maintain quality."

Please note the "Frankly Huge" quote there by Rowling which makes me wonder what adjective that she used for the Goblet of Fire.

Okay. Let's go through this. In answer to this question...I said that if we can keep Rowlings away from the influence of Ed Greenwood...then yes, Dumbledore would be the one to die in a dual between he and Voldemort, which is what Whacky was wanting us to comment on...he and I share the same thoughts on this...

Why do I say this? Due to Ed Greenwood's vision of Elminster...the unstoppable. If Rowlings will not be influenced by such authors as this in the creation of her #1 wizard...then the truth is, Voldemort is more powerful, and would kill Dumbledore.

Larry,

That's what I thought you meant. Still Dumbledore isn't to Rowlings what Elminster is to Greenwood (unless her self image is that of a wizzened old man ) It's plainly obvious (he's even admitted it) that Elminster is Ed's projection of himself on the Realms. If he kills off Elminster, it's almost like committing suicide.

As for who is more powerful. There are constant referances to Dumbledore being the only wizard that Lord Voldemort was afraid of. Of course those could just be the hopeful reassurances of his supporters.

It seems like a matter of who draws wands first! One 'AVADA KEDAVRA!' and it's all over... unless powerful wizards have greater finesse and more sophisticated abiliies in duels than we've seen so far. That would be cool; making duelling between wizards more akin to fencing, with skill, speed and an agile mind standing you in better stead than pure power.

Well, actually Rowlings said the book *might* come out by the end of the year. Which basically means it'll come out in the spring... They've said this so many times already that I've almost lost hope of ever reading the book... But let's hope it'll come out soon. I can't wait! I read in Dagens Nyheter (a Swedish newspaper) last week, I think, that Rowlings promised to deliver the script for the book within 6 months. Then we will have to wait 6 months more for the book to be translated, because they want to release it all over the world at the same time.
