We Aussies might have been knocked out mere months ago Lanthir, but we take our sport seriously in this country

Donut, would you happen to be talking about SOCCER?? Great post, non the less.......

I must admit, I'm not really into watching the MLS, but I was finding myself really getting into the USA World Cup game the other morning at 4:30am.

Now, I feel I can hold my own in the "Footy" thread, thanks...

That's Angel of Death - the criclet masters - did you see in the Laureus Awards were the OZ cricket team edged out the Lakers and Ferrari as the the best sporting team in the world in 2001 Even better, they made an English cricketing legend give the Aussies the trophy

Living in the past and not the present again Lanesra . I would think you would want to get this thread back onto the subject of football, rather than stay with a sport where you are at a well demonstrated disadvantage .

Sorry I can't stay and play just now - have an order of Lemon chicken and special fried rice that has to be picked up...... and consumed of course

I could ask the same about you Lanthir! How does a Canadian know so much about football?

Arrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! She has just insulted me more than anyone has ever done on IW. (I think) Why would she think I'm an Australian - do I sound loud and stupid?

Okay - I've thought a bit about this and Lanthir might be having a 'dif' at the Aussies in general. I'm confused now. Come on Lanthir which is it?

BTW - I think the US will struggle against South Korea tomorrow - they were very impressive in the first math.

i was listening to a talk show the other day about soccer being an american sport. the host commented that no red blooded american could or does not really care for the sport. and that the only people in america that care for the sport more than likely are a first or second generation american and or citizen. and while listening to the show. he was right there wasnt 1 person that called in who cares how the sport was actually played.

next post, rules and regulations of how to play basketball. and will any country in the world ever beat team USA in the olympic basketball category?
Actually thiefprowess the US aren't very good at Hockey - both Australia and the Netherlands are far superior.
