Everything can be explained by science, maybe not our own poor understanding of it though.

So basicaly no, nothing is supernatural, just not understood.
[/QUOTE]I think I generally just agree with that, I pretty much believe in ghosts, but I don't believe that they are our spirits, or whatever. I'm a firmly depressed believer that when we die, that's it.

That theory about the bendy timeline thing sounded quite interesting, if flawed. Although I didn't understand anything other than the basic concept of it, so I may be talking crap there. Has anyone else read that theory?

Erm... the bendy time thing? DO you mean the twins effect? How one twin leaves earth on a space journey at near light speeds, and returns to find that her twin has aged twenty years, while she has only aged 5 herself?

Cos I believe in that... its been proven with atomic clocks placed at different altitudes. They start to go "wrong", comparitive to the other, immediately, as they are travelling at different speeds.

I believe in spirits. I drink it occasionally.

Jokes aside, I'm pretty much undecided.

No, I wasn't talking about that... It was something like, the line of time (timeline, as in 0----------------------------2000AD) is actually bendy and curvy and I really need illustrations.

Okay, here:

As 1800 and 1970 are pretty close together, if someone in the 1970s was stood in a room, he could theoretically "see" people that were also in the room in 1800. Of course, anyone in 1970 would probably be tripping out of his skull and wouldn't be particularly surprised... Anyway, I know that is completely flawed, but that's because I don't understand it enough to explain it well. When I read it, it still sounded pretty unrealistic but had enough evidence to make it an interesting concept...

If that theory is correct time travel/ seeing to another time would only be possible at certain times also to see into times many years ago it would mean that these times only come about as often as it is you can see back or forwads. In history there is no aparent periods of increased supernaturality so unless the cycle of bends is longer than known history this theory doesnt work. Also it would only be possible to see 2 times at the most (mabey more if it were very irregularly shaped) and as there have been "ghost sightings" of many periods at the same time/ in a relativly close timings these cannot be explained by this theory.
