I will wait for it...

And then I will wait a bit more until it is brought down to a price I can afford.

But yeah, sounds good. This is definately a film I want to get as soon as I possibly can. That just might not be for a while thats all!

yep, i also heard that there is an extra 40 minutes of footage that they couldnt squeeze in the movie. too bad, but also understandable considering it rans 2 hours and 40 minutes long as it is.

when the dvd comes out with this extra material, it going to be a HUGE hit. i think that the risks new line cinema took in making the 3 movies and spending all that money have been handsomely rewarded. they are getting back their money and more with ticket revenue alone from the first one... that leaves tickets from the 2 and 3 as well as merchandising and dvds for all three!!! warner bros must be wanting to kill themselves for not taking the oportuniy when they had it, hehe...

I went to see the very first showing of the film (had to skip off college to do so). The film was absolutley amazing but at the same time such a letdown. To much of the story was missed out or changed I mean what have they done to Merry and Pippin they were nothing like that in the book.

Also where was Tom Bombadil and Fatty bolger. If the film was a few hours extra It could have been so much better.

P.S I also feel that they should have made the Hobbit before the Lord of the rings
