Kangaax the Liche (in "skull" form) was by far and away the most difficult I faced. Far more difficult than any of the dragons or Irenicus. For me he was even more difficult than any monster in TOB

IMO, the most dangerous creature in BG2SOA is me. and/or dragons for some reason, I seem to have slain lots of creatures, most "greater" then me, leaving me to believe that **I** am the most dangerous creature dragons follow swiftly behind...

I would have to agree, the PC is by far THE most dangerous creature in the game. Most people (if not, then everyone) who has finished the game will have killed a Lich, a Dragon, mind flayers and beholders. If you can finish the game solo, then you have proven you are the most dangerous. Then again, if i were to strip you of your SotM (and other items)...

OK, i have decided that the most powerful creature in the game is...

The one who has the SotM!! (Do i smell cheese?)

Sorry Dundee, but that's not true.
All Liches wear a special, un-dropable ring the protects them from spell levels 1-5, and some other minor things.
Breach will NOT work.
Just tested in-game again, and checked with Infinty Explorer just to be sure.

The only way to Breach Liches is to use the Wand of Spellstriking.
Its Breach is not considered a level 5 spell, nor does it counts as an Abjuration spell.

Nymphs, especially in BG1, are frustrating. Mayhap I'm thinking Sirenes instead. They're the ones w/ Dire Charm ability. I know the debate here ranges to higher level monsters, but thought I'd mention them.

Why no Golems on the list. I find them incredibly difficult at that point in the game when you're still trying to toss the magic hammer back-and-forth from the fighter who's about to drop to the one who he's going to tag off to. Later, they're a lot easier, but what isn't?

I know of atleast one lich who CAN be breached: The one in the City Gates.
However, I usualy have to breach him twice before it has any effect. I haven`t tried to breach any other liches, because Sunray+Minute Meteors usually kills them fairly quickly

Well, its a funny thing most of the Lich fights occur before you even get spellstrike and ruby ray, and if you were play SoA before ToB then you couldn't even cast Spellstrike anyway. So I know for a fact that Breach does work 'cause I've finished the game repeatedly with a solo mage before I ever got ToB...

How bout Iron Golems? i mean there not say as annoying as liches or Mind flayers but if your really weak and new, and if the game pited three or four agaisnt u at the same time, i think you'll get a most rightoes butt kicking. And if they come coupled with a Rakshasa, even more so. but thats just my opinion, and i;m not saying those guys are the deadliest i'm just saying if u went up agaisnt this kind of team, i reckon most people would lose.
