Great movie and I want to see it again. No spoilers here but Kurt's character was played perfectly. Comments follow;

Didn't Stryker have giant robots to help him in the comics?
Jean loved Wolverine didn't she?

I got to agree with Those who say Prof. X is the most powerful. If he played by the bad guys rules, I do believe he would win Hands down.....In the first X-Movie, he controlled Sabertooth and Toad ....how long do you think a mutant would last that couldnt trust even a single person around him even if he was immune to the Profs powers?

Wow all this talk about X-Men really takes me back hard to believe the last time I read a comic book was in the late 80's.

Ocelot there is a PM answering one of your questions.

Edit: Was anyone aware that my nome de plume here is that of an X-Man
In all the years I have been online, my name has been either MagiK or HavoK both X-Men Well MagiK was actually an X-Woman/girl but the I liked the spelling

Just two general questions, one might be spoilerish.
1) I thought Rogue was capable of flying, or is this a later development?
2) In reference to Kurt and his tattoos, didn't he mention something about Angel or Archangel? Or is this just a general religious reference?

I know who you're talking about MagiK, Colossus's sister right? I was looking over the X-men characterology, and came across her.

well rogue's ability to fly is a later development...

with nightcrawler's tatoos, i think he said it had something to do with angels also having them...

Great movie and I know I will see it again in 2-3 weeks here. East Coast kids are going wild which is surprising to me. I could hear some of the comments and not many of them are familar with the history at all they just plain liked the movie. The theater was packed and I think it will be a 75 million weekend opener-

For you X-Men buffs out there how about a quick question. (Whoever gets it posts their own and so on.) How did the X-Men subdue the professors brother in the first encounter and who were the major players? What is his name?

Yeah
1) Rogue gets her powers when she drains a powerful mutant woman (whose name I forget) but keeps her powers permanently for some reason. These powers include flight, indestructability and super strength - a bit overkill IMO. So if you're talking physically, Rogue is actually the most powerful mutant, not Professor X.
2) He just referred to angelic symbols, nothing to do with the character of Archangel.

cormack - Professor's brother is Juggernaut. If you mean the first meeting in the old animated series then Wolverine removed his helmet and Jean confused his mind telepathicly - that's how they subdued him. In X-Men Evolution the whole load of x-men and the brotherhood all worked together to remove his helmet and then professor X knocked him unconscious.
Damn I'm sad

The film ruled!

Best bits :

1. The Nightcrawler opening Scene
2. The Nightcrawler Rogue Scene
3. Magento's Escape
4. Pyro's Rage (including my fave quote - You know you hear about all these dangerous mutants???? I'm The Worst!)

Something no1 has mentioned here, is Pyro. I belive he will be VERY big in X3, for the side of evil. He will be the child prodigy Magneto utilies........allowing Pyro to use his abilities for destruction!

And Kurts (Nightcrawler) markings are self inscribed markings, done with a needle of somesort. They represent the sins, and are markings that the archangel gabriel once produced.

The only thing I hope, is they dnt go overboard. In X3, some big characters should take a back seat, and some smaller ones (Collosus, Juggernaut, Gambit) should come in. Like a rotation. They have to make sure they dnt include TOO many mutants, as it wud just become TOO much!

Great film! 9/10!

To be more precise, she absorbed all her power and her psyche, and killed her, so she permanently got her power, but she has wonderwoman's spirit (I think it was her) inside of her, and she try to gain control of her body from time to time. She was succesfull a few times.

But if I remember well, at first, she worked for Magneto before joining the X-men, and that's when she killed wonderwoman, Magneto asked her to. I don't see why she would ever do something like that in the Movie.

The point you're missing is that Xavier can control anyone, so he has access to everyones powers.

The Age of Apocalypse ruled. I have most of those comic books.

As for Rogue being the strongest mutant, I don't agree. There are tons of other mutants with similar strength and invulnerability. It's nothing special.
