OpenOffice is working nicely for me...though I am irritated by the lack of a decent spell-check dictionary...Oh well, there just have to be some tradeoffs...

Gaah! The power just went out around our neighborhood *mutters* I was watching TV and suddenly everything flickered off followed by a loud popping noise (sounded like a gunshot) from down the street. I think something exploded on one of the powerlines [img]tongue.gif[/img] Ah well, thank goodness for battery powered computers and phone lines [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Freaky; my dorm just lost power about an hour ago. They're thinking it was some kind of cascade failure (because the entire dorm shouldn't normally go down like this).

I'm over in one of the UNIX labs in the academic buildings doing some work -- and you can see how hard I'm working
