I've just been a little grumpier than usual lately... probably from work and a bit of lack of sleep.

Ok, now that everyone's put down their handbags, let's get back to talking about EB and how they seem to have abandoned PC gamers.

Hmmm how the hell do Gameswarehouse have Guildwars titles. I though EB were the ONLY resellers in AU to sell it.

Ok I can now support the Boycott!

The EB thing is a corporate policy. I've been seeing this happen up here, as well.

I'll just shop Wally-mart (where all the wallys shop) or Amazon.

This boycott has my support. I'm picking up some PS3 and Nintendo systems from them, but they make no profit on those anyway so it's all good.

I used to work as a manager for Gamestop from 2003-2005 and can confrim they don't care about PC gaming very much (or employees for that matter).

Highest potential profit is what they care about and that means used (pre-owned) console and handheld games.

I expect no less from a publicly traded company. Reduce benefits, raise prices and replace low margin product with high margin product. All to increase profit! profit! profit!

Only Gamestop does it with NO class at all.

They do this for any game that they feel won't sell well. Okami, a PS2 title released in mid-September, saw a limited release through EB/GameStop. By limited I mean three to five copies per store.

Hello? Who MADE YOU what you are? PC Games did. Its sad. All these lame ass consoles are just saturating the market with the same instant-gratification 'kill it' shit. That is all consoles are mostly. I can name on one hand how many good console games came out in the last 3 years.
Either you're exaggerating or you haven't played many console games in the past three years.

Console games will die eventually too. All this repetitive 'kill all' BS will grow old, and people will drop it as well.
Why are you lumping all genres into one category? Would you classify Katamari Damacy as a "kill all" game? Howabout Psychonauts? No? Console gaming isn't anything new, just more popular (and I'm not trying to be an elitist ass, I enjoy PC games just as much as I do console games).

I took a stop over at a Gamestop near where I work and spent a few minutes trying to find the pc games only to discover ONE little shelf stand tucked by the dvds with old junk and a few new titles. Sad, sad.

Well ahead of ya!

EBGames bought up Tradition here in Sweden a few years back and continues an already crappy decision of making one of swedens best game places fro RPG, PC games, board games puzzles, juggling whatnots into a console pushy and far more expansive place then anything else. For the last three years, I buy online and online only and from the ones that send it ASAP and to the best price.
