Spamming is like Beauty, in the eye of the beholder. but just like beauty, if the beholder is powerful, everyone shares the beholder's opinion. if a model is the most lobvely creature on earth, and some playboy in hollywood doesn't like her, evryone thinks she's a washed out tramp. same with spamming, except its a little different. in this case, if the webmaster or moderator thinks you are a spammer, you get canned. perhaps we should all look at "Spammers" as just fok who contribute in smaller quantity, more times. this is one of the things that really agrivates me with this one person who's name i wont say ::cough, father::, he insists that he knows what im thinking better than i do. he always paraphrases me. but anyways...

Nah, post count really doesn't matter to me. It's more important what you write, I think. So I'm one of those that just lurks about this forum, and when I do think of something to write or reply I usually change my mind and don't do it. I just don't feel like going into the conversation sometimes. Besides, it's stupid to say something that's already been said. Reading 30 posts with people saying the same stuff over and over is boring. Sorry. And I also dislike the posts where people just write "I agree." or "That was really funny". Though, on the other hand, sometimes there's nothing else people can write. Like in the jokes threads... if nobody writes anything, the person will feel ignored. But if they do, well, there's really nothing else to write than "Hahaha".

But I do think that sometimes people on the forum treat the newcomers (or people with a low post count) differently, or sometimes they ignore them completely, even though they have some smart stuff to say.

Okay, back to lurking.

Of course post count is important! Why the hell should I stoop down to the level of a n00b! Rank is everything, anyone below my rank is simply a waste of valuable webspace.

Of course post count is not important!

When it comes to post counts, I believe in quality not quantity, I'd rather read 10 fantastic posts rather than 100 boring, repetitive spam posts. To judge someone based on the number of replies they've made on a website is stupidity at its finest.

And even if someone's got like 10,000 posts, hell if even 2/3 of those posts are funny/insightful and witty as hell than by golly gosh they ain't spammers in my eyes.

I don't call anyone a real spammer here on IW, and when I do I use the term affectionately, as a joke.
