WooHoo,

last night after a hard and intense battle, I slew FRKRG (-spoiler
free naming . I did it thanks to previous topix here on the forum
and resources on the net. Well, thats quite the accomplishment I
thought and so did GRRN (-another one) when I brought back his CHLD.
but then as soon as I asked about Imoen and the Cowled Wizards, he
told me they were a powerful and dangerous force in Athkatla and that
I should seek help from the other factions (Linvail or Bodhi). Excuse
me.... I just reloaded like 30 times to get the beast and now Im
supposed to be scared of some bathrobed dictatorial loonies? He even
said it was a tale to be told for ages. Well, not so much I guess...

P.S. I did face some cowled ones when I was lower level and they were
pretty tough, but Im not facing a cruel hord of maniacs am I? I mean,
I have to go back and report to them that I decided to turn a 180 on
them for VLGR hehehe...

P.P.S Is there going to be a good paladin around any time soon? Else
I can just use the carsomyr as a toothpick

P.P.P.S (last one) Isn't Athkatla the name of the demon lord that
Buffy faces at the end of season 2?

Yo, zuvio.

Two ways to go about it. Grovel to them and pay 5000 gold pieces to make sure they never bother you again. Go to the Council of Six building in the Government District, seek out Corneil and pay for your license.

Or, show them who is the boss and crush them wave after wave. You can fight one wave per rest, up till their high council which consists of Mages who can cast Time-Stop, Imprisonment, etc... ...

Go to the Temple District and get the Cult of the Unseeing Eye quest. It will eventually lead you to a Paladin NPC.

I think the question should be phrased the other way round, since I am pretty sure AD&D has been around longer than Buffy.

Great, I'll fight the cowled creeps first, just to see if I can
take 'em. Or else I'll pay the 5000 gp, I have over 80.000 anyway.

And I did encountered the paladin NPC already, but I discarded him
because I already had three tanks at that time, with assest I did not
want to lose. Slly of me to forget him..

Great, it'll be my final showdown before starting a new game.

Gzruevaito. (Figure this one out and you're bound to have min.INT-19)
with no magically inclined attributes)

That is incorrect. Killing the Cowled Wizards does not attract any Amn soldiers. You most probably misfired an area of effect spell.

You guys know what's hard???Tried to use your main character to finish Firkraag, that way in your record, you'll have the red dragon as the most powerful vanquished...it took me 5 reloads to do this for my cavalier (lvl 11).

Yeah, tell me about it! I am always really unlucky when fighting Dragons alone!
I always takes me atleast three reloads before I manage to finish 'em of! But in return, I always beat Liches and Demi-Liches easily.

"Yeah, tell me about it! I am always really unlucky when fighting Dragons alone!"

You know I'm not trying to be arrogant; but I simply find it amsuing to send my elven ranger (NG) into single combat with a dragon... amazingly enough, he usually comes out on top... it could be becuase of his equipment... I dont know, then it could be, as 'dear' 'brother' Sarevok likes to say "We children of Bhaal are unbeatable" how true this is, I dont know... still reds and blacks always seem to fall, if not greens and blues as well... (btw I *only* fight evil dragons, you cant go against ones own nature, or can you??)
