A building project in Sydney has stopped because insurers will not cover terrorism. Seems it's a worldwide problem.

This is how terrorists win!

I hope those who are against the war realize this is caused by TERRORISTS, and it's only the tip of the iceberg. These things don't stop until terrorists are stopped, and in fact, can only get worse. These rogues will invade every aspect of our lives if we allow them to hide behind others.

They must be stopped, or they will make the terror inflicted on the world by Nazism seem small in comparision. Imagine it, an enemy lurking behind every corner. If we think it's bad now, can you imagine letting this go unchecked for another generation?

The insurance industry just stuck a very large phallic object in my posterior today, they can go fornicate themselves. What type of bars do insurance weenies hang out at on weekends? I feel an overwhelming desire to go beat the feces out of a few of them.

Good on you Paul. I'm very sorry to hear that mate. I too have been shafted by an insurance company. Yours sounds pretty bad though bro.

I'm thinking of forming a band and calling it:

RAGE AGAINST THE INSURANCE COMPANY MACHINE.

Unfortunately, insurance companies are more interested in turning a profit than protecting the interests of the policy holders. Once they realize they have paid more to you than they've collected from you, they drop you like a hot potato.

As a "hot potato" I know this intimately!

Thanks Hugh, love to join! Yesterday I went to an insurance agent and got a new Workmans Compensation policy. $944 down + $280/month for 8 months. Paid the down payment and asked they fax an insurance certificate to the company we are currently building for. She says ok, it will be done within a few hours. At 2:30 today I get a call (I missed an earlier one from her around noon but it wouldnt have mattered)saying "sorry but the company I wrote the policy with doesnt insure carpenters" . WTF??????????? So without that insurance certificate I cannot pick up the check from the contractor. I had enough to give the crew $50 each until monday when I can MAYBE make another insurance deal. Needless to say the crew is not pleased, I already had to put one of thems auto insurance payment on my credit card and take it out of his check. If the damn company had told me yesterday I could have worked on it today. By the way the reason I got the insurance( or thought I was getting insurance the jerks) is because my best friend who runs the crew is off to jail for 30 days so I'm running things while he is gone. Yes the joy and aggravation is all mine Hope this post made some kind of sense, I'm living up to my name tonight

I never said I didn't understand how it works! I just don't have to like it. I'm not that naive, thank you very much. I'm well aware what the real world is, I've lived through 41 years of it!

People feel the same way about used car salesmen. It's not making money that bothers people, it's the idea they take advantage of people in need to increase the profit margin.
